I know I’ve been pretty terrible at blogging lately! We have moved into the season of full-time summer camp ministry, which means long hours working and not much time for writing. I’m hoping to be able to settle into a schedule where I can blog once a week, but hopefully you’ll give me a little grace until I get to that point 🙂
Today, I just wanted to share a passage of Scripture that I’m trying to memorize.
I’ve been asking God recently to give me more of a desire and hunger for His Word, and let me tell you, friends, that is a prayer He likes to answer! Don’t be afraid to pray that yourself.
The other day, I came across these two verses, and they really grabbed hold of me. I decided to try memorizing them as I ponder the words and what God wants to say to me in them. Here’s the passage:
And the LORD will guide you continually
and satisfy your desire in scorched places
and make your bones strong;
you shall be like a watered garden,
like a spring of water whose waters do not fail.
And your ancient ruins shall be rebuilt;
you shall raise up the foundations of many generations,
you shall be called the repairer of the breach,
the restorer of streets to dwell in.
I’m still praying through this, seeking why the Lord brought it to me and gleaning what He has to say to me in it. For sure, it’s encouraging! Hopefully it encourages you today, as well.
